Sell Mates Membership

Membership Terms

The terms that apply to your Sell Mates membership, your event tickets and your use of the member portal.

Version 1.0 · Last updated 9 September 2026

01WHO WE ARE

1.1Sell Mates is operated by Sell Mates Pty Ltd (Sell Mates, we, us, our).

1.2You can reach us at [email protected] or 0488 099 958.

1.3These terms apply to every person who buys a ticket to a Sell Mates event, holds a Sell Mates membership, or uses the Sell Mates member portal (you, your, Member).

02WHAT YOU ARE BUYING

2.1Founding Ticket. The $500 Founding Ticket (inc. GST) is the pre-launch offer, available until the first workshop on 1 December 2026. It includes one attendee place at that workshop in Sydney and a 12 month Sell Mates Base Membership. Every founding membership starts on 1 December 2026, the day of the first workshop, no matter when before then you buy your ticket. Memberships bought after that day run from the date of purchase, see clause 3.1.

2.2Base Membership inclusions. A Base Membership entitles you to:

  • attendance at four full day Sell Mates workshops during your membership year, at the locations and dates we publish from time to time;
  • a crew of five accountability buddies allocated to you each quarter through the member platform, so you can hold each other to the plan between workshops;
  • a recording of every workshop, published to the member portal;
  • access to quarterly planning resources and tools released to members;
  • a listing in, and access to, the Sell Mates member directory and Buy & Sell portal;
  • event matching and member introductions where we consider them appropriate; and
  • access to the Sell Mates member community.

2.3NOBS Afterparty. The NOBS Afterparty is a separate optional ticket at $60 (inc. GST). It is not part of your membership and is not refundable once purchased, except as required by the Australian Consumer Law.

2.4Inclusions may change. We may add, substitute, vary or withdraw individual membership inclusions, event locations and event dates. Where we do, we will provide inclusions of a broadly comparable nature and value across your membership year, and we will give you reasonable notice of any material change.

2.5The member portal is under development. Parts of the member platform, including the directory and Buy & Sell board, are still in build at the date of these terms. We release features as they are ready and we expect the platform to be available to founding members from the start of the founding year on 1 December 2026.

03MEMBERSHIP TERM AND AUTOMATIC RENEWAL

READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY

Your membership continues automatically until you cancel it. We email you 60 days before every renewal with the date, the fee and how to cancel, and you can cancel any time up to 30 days before it renews.

3.1Initial term. There are two ways a membership year is set, depending on when you joined.

Founding members. If you bought a Founding Ticket on or before 1 December 2026, your Base Membership runs from 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2027 (Initial Term), whatever date you bought it. Every founding member shares the same start and renewal date.

Everyone after that. If you join after 1 December 2026, your Base Membership runs for 12 months from the date you buy it (Initial Term), and your renewal date is the anniversary of that date.

3.2Renewal. At the end of the Initial Term, and at the end of each renewal period after that, your membership automatically renews for a further 12 months at the then current Base Membership fee, which is $990 per year (inc. GST) at the date of these terms, unless you cancel it under clause 3.4.

3.3Renewal reminder. We will email you at least 60 days before each renewal date to tell you the renewal date, the fee that will be charged, and how to cancel. That gives you a clear month to decide before the cancellation deadline in clause 3.4.

3.4How to cancel. You may cancel your membership at any time up to 30 days before your renewal date by emailing [email protected] or using the cancellation option in the member portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid term, and you keep access until that date.

3.5Late cancellation. If you cancel less than 30 days before a renewal date, your membership still ends on that renewal date. If the renewal payment has already been taken, we refund it in full. You will never be charged for another year because you cancelled late.

3.6Payment method. By purchasing a membership you authorise us and our payment provider to store your payment details and to charge the applicable fee on each renewal date until you cancel.

3.7Consent to renewal. You confirmed your understanding of the renewal arrangement described in this clause 3 by ticking the acknowledgement box at checkout. We keep a record of that acknowledgement.

3.8Fee changes. We may change the Base Membership fee. Any change takes effect from your next renewal date, and we will tell you the new fee in the reminder sent under clause 3.3. If you do not accept the new fee, you may cancel under clause 3.4.

3.9Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we will attempt to contact you and may retry the payment for up to 14 days. If payment is not received, we may suspend or cancel your membership and your access to member benefits.

04FEES, GST AND REFUNDS

4.1All fees are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise. A tax invoice is issued on payment.

4.2Change of mind. You may request a full refund of a Founding Ticket within 14 days of purchase, provided the 1 December 2026 event has not yet taken place. After that period, fees are non-refundable except as set out in these terms or as required by the Australian Consumer Law.

4.3Renewal refunds. If you tell us within 14 days of a renewal charge that you did not intend to renew, and you have not attended a Sell Mates event or used member benefits in that renewal period, we will refund the renewal fee in full.

4.4No refund for non-attendance. Membership fees are not refunded, reduced or extended because you did not attend an event, a circle, or use a benefit available to you.

4.5Transfers. You may transfer your place at a specific event to another person by telling us in writing at least 5 business days before the event. Memberships themselves are personal to you and may not be transferred, shared or resold without our written consent.

4.6Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including your right to a remedy if a service is not supplied with due care and skill or is not fit for its stated purpose.

05EVENTS

5.1Changes by us. We may change the date, time, venue, format or presenters of any event. If we materially change the date or city of an event, you may either attend the rescheduled event or, if you tell us within 14 days of our notice, receive a credit for an equivalent future Sell Mates event.

5.2Cancellation by us. If we cancel an event and do not offer a replacement date within 6 months, we will refund the portion of your fee fairly attributable to that event, or issue a credit if you prefer.

5.3Circumstances beyond our control. If an event cannot proceed because of an event beyond our reasonable control, including illness, venue failure, natural disaster, government direction or public health order, clause 5.1 applies and we may deliver the event online or reschedule it.

5.4Your costs. We are not responsible for your travel, accommodation or other costs incurred in attending an event, whether or not the event proceeds.

5.5Attendance. You must comply with the venue rules and with any reasonable direction from us or venue staff. We may refuse entry to, or remove, any person who breaches clause 7.

5.6NOBS Afterparty. The NOBS Afterparty is an 18+ licensed event. You are responsible for your own conduct and for arranging safe transport. Service of alcohol is at the licensee's discretion.

5.7Photography and filming. We photograph and film our events, and by attending you consent to your image, voice and likeness being recorded and used in Sell Mates marketing. In a room of two hundred people, wide and crowd shots are unavoidable. If you would rather not be photographed, tell us at registration and sit in the designated no-photo area at the back of the room, and our photographer will stay away from it. Nobody is featured in Sell Mates marketing if they have told us they would rather not be.

06WHAT WE DO AND DO NOT PROMISE

6.1Sell Mates provides sales strategy education, facilitated planning, accountability and networking. We will provide our services with due care and skill.

6.2No guarantee of results. We do not guarantee any particular level of revenue, sales, leads, introductions, referrals or business outcomes. Your results depend on your business, your market and the work you do.

6.3Not professional advice. Nothing provided by Sell Mates is legal, accounting, tax, financial product or investment advice. You should obtain your own professional advice before acting on anything discussed at an event or in the community.

6.4Other members. We do not vet, endorse, guarantee or take responsibility for any member, or for the products, services, conduct or solvency of any member. Any dealing you enter into with another member is between you and that member. Do your own due diligence.

6.5Introductions. Where we make an introduction or a match, we do so as a courtesy. We are not acting as your agent, we make no representation about the other party, and we are not entitled to and do not take a commission on business that results, unless separately agreed in writing.

07MEMBER CONDUCT

7.1Sell Mates is built on good behaviour. As a member you agree to:

  • treat other members, presenters, staff and venue personnel with respect;
  • keep to the spirit of the room, which is real business, useful conversation and no hard selling from the floor;
  • not use any Sell Mates event, circle, directory or channel to run a pitch, promote a scheme, or recruit members into a multi-level marketing structure;
  • not harass, bully, discriminate against or intimidate any person;
  • not attend an event while affected by alcohol or drugs to the point where you disrupt the event; and
  • deal honestly and fairly with other members in any business you do together.

7.2Confidentiality of the room. Members share commercially sensitive information at Sell Mates events and in circles. You must not disclose another member's financial figures, strategy or personal information outside the room without their permission.

7.3Breach. If you breach this clause 7, we may warn you, remove you from an event, suspend your access, or cancel your membership. If we cancel your membership for a serious or repeated breach, no refund is payable.

08MEMBER DIRECTORY AND BUY & SELL PORTAL

8.1Your directory listing will show the business and contact details you give us. You control what you publish and you must keep it accurate.

8.2You may use the directory and Buy & Sell portal to make genuine, relevant, one to one contact with other members.

8.3You must not:

  • add member details to a mailing list, CRM or automated sequence without that member's consent;
  • send bulk, unsolicited or repeated marketing messages to members;
  • scrape, copy, export or otherwise harvest member data; or
  • give, sell or disclose member data to anyone outside Sell Mates.

8.4Australian spam laws apply to you as well as to us. A breach of this clause 8 is a serious breach of clause 7.

8.5You are responsible for the content you post to the portal. We may remove content, without notice, that we consider misleading, offensive, unlawful or contrary to the spirit of Sell Mates.

09INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

9.1We own, or are licensed to use, all intellectual property in the Sell Mates brand, name, logos, frameworks, workbooks, templates, slides, recordings and portal content (Our Material).

9.2We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Our Material for the purposes of your own business during your membership.

9.3You must not copy, publish, resell, license, or use Our Material to deliver competing training or coaching, and you must not record, stream or photograph event content for distribution without our written consent.

9.4You keep ownership of everything you create, including the sales strategy you build at an event. Where you give us feedback or a testimonial, you grant us a licence to use it in our marketing, attributed to your name and business unless you ask otherwise.

10PRIVACY AND COMMUNICATIONS

10.1We collect and handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy at sellmates.com.au/privacy.

10.2By joining, you consent to us sending you emails about your membership, events, logistics and Sell Mates offers. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time. We will still send you emails that are necessary to administer your membership, including renewal reminders under clause 3.3.

10.3We share your details with other members only through the directory, and with suppliers such as our payment provider, email platform and venues, as needed to run Sell Mates.

11LIABILITY

11.1Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11.2Where our liability can lawfully be limited, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant services or paying the cost of having them resupplied.

11.3To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity, loss of data or loss of goodwill arising out of your membership, an event, an introduction, or any dealing with another member.

11.4To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with these terms is limited to the total fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

11.5You attend events and use our services at your own risk and you are responsible for your own property at events.

12SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

12.1We may suspend or cancel your membership immediately if you breach these terms, if payment is not received, or if we reasonably believe your continued membership creates a risk to other members.

12.2You may cancel under clause 3.4.

12.3On cancellation your access to events, circles, the directory and the portal ends. Clauses 6, 7.2, 9, 10 and 11 survive.

13GENERAL

13.1Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. We will publish the updated terms and, where a change is material, tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept a material change, you may cancel under clause 3.4 and we will refund the unused portion of your current term.

13.2Assignment. We may assign these terms to a related entity or a purchaser of the Sell Mates business. You may not assign your membership without our written consent.

13.3Entire agreement. These terms, together with the checkout page and any written confirmation we send you, form the whole agreement between us about your membership.

13.4Severability. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues to apply.

13.5Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.

13.6Complaints. If something is not right, email [email protected] and we will work with you in good faith to sort it out.
